The material in this fifth article is not for rent at all.
In fact, I'm going to write about hotels and hostels. These are the resorts that will appeal to those who prefer not having to do much work outside the home.
Hotels and guesthouses, from the point of view of the results are similar in many respects, with the main difference is scale. By this I mean that in general, most of the hotels are bigger than most guest houses and are able to offer more through facilities such as room service. If the guest house offers a dinner, it is possible that there is only one choice for each course of the meal, while the hotel is likely to offer several options for each course.
One other difference is that if you stay at a hotel, usually have the run of the place, so if the weather turns out to be harsh, is allowed to sit in the sun lounge or somewhere else with a similar name . If you stay in a guest house if it rains usually find that you still will not be welcomed in its housing by a certain time in the afternoon, maybe an hour or so before dinner. There are guest houses in that this is not the case, as Christine and I found ourselves, but are not the majority.
Another factor to consider is the car park. Most hotels have adequate parking facilities for all tourists expected, but this can not be said of many guesthouses. Sometimes it is difficult to park on the street, no matter out of its housing.
However, against these factors, we must also consider the factor of service. In many hotels, especially larger ones, it is possible that the service a little impersonal. The staff is friendly and helpful, but not always friendly. In a guest house, it is likely that fewer people who stay and, consequently, the landlady will welcome you by name, instead of the ubiquitous "sir" or "Lady."
The final decision will obviously be a matter of taste for you, but perhaps the final factor is the cost. Carefully review the bids and make sure you know exactly what you will get for your money. Happy Holiday!
